Jane Flowergirl Florist sitting in front of a market load of bouquets

Flowergirl was founded by Jane, whose love of natural materials and quiet beauty has shaped the business for over a decade. Flowergirl Florist grew from a passion for sustainable, long-lasting bouquets — inspired by nature and a love of beautiful flowers made to be enjoyed for years.

“I began working in floristry over 30 years ago. After experiencing reactions to many of the chemicals commonly used in the industry, I wanted a cleaner, more sustainable approach — one that felt safer, more natural, and people-friendly.

Every arrangement is made by hand with care, an appreciation for natural textures and a relaxed, country-style design. We grow, forage and preserve our foliage, pairing it with quality artificial flowers— intentionally made to be lived with and loved”.

Preserving natural beauty

Our eucalyptus foliage is grown, gathered, and preserved using natural processes, without harsh chemicals. It retains its character and subtle fragrance, bringing a lasting sense of nature indoors while remaining beautiful for many years.

We use natural methods within our growing and preserving processes, keeping our work closely connected to nature.

Working gently with Nature

Our premium silk flowers come from trusted New Zealand suppliers.

We avoid single-use plastics in our packaging and wherever possible, we choose materials and processes that reduce waste and support a sustainable world.

Caring for your bouquet

Place your arrangement indoors, away from direct sunlight and moisture, to help preserve its colour and natural character. A gentle dust from time to time is all that is needed to keep it looking its best.

Thank you for visiting Flowergirl.
